Extra support to help make homeownership possible
Access grant programs designed to reduce upfront costs and help you move forward with confidence when purchasing your first home.
Equity Builder Program (EBP): Grants up to $32,099 for down payments, closing costs, and eligible rehabilitation assistance for households earning up to 80% of area median income
Housing Our Workforce (HOW): Grants up to $25,000 for down payment and closing cost assistance for households earning more than 80% and up to 120% of area median income
Lift Up Homeownership: Grants up to $40,000 for first-generation homebuyers earning up to 120% of area median income to help with down payments and closing costs. Beginning in 2026, eligibility is limited to first-generation homebuyers, subject to self-certification
1. A first-time homebuyer is defined as an individual who has not owned a residential property within the previous three (3) years. Eligibility requirements may vary based on the loan program and underwriting criteria. Information regarding current mortgage rates, income limits by county or municipality, single-family home loan limits, and financing options for 2-, 3-, and 4-family owner-occupied properties is available upon request.
